The Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS) Version 1.1 is a 6-question scale designed to screen for adult ADHD in the general community. It was originally developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) work group in conjunction with the creation of the WHO World Mental Health (WMH) Survey Initiative version of the WHO Composite International Diagnostic Interview (WMH-CIDI). It is an internationally used clinical questionnaire that has been translated into over ten languages, with validated psychometric properties for its use. The ASRS Screener v1.1 has no supporting research for it to be used for more than a screening tool. It should not be used for diagnosis, treatment monitoring, or prognosis as there is no supporting research data, but a positive screening can be followed up with a clinical interview for diagnosis of ADHD.
